Let’s walk, taste and shop along the river in the Chartrons farmers’ market with My Gourmet Tours
This Farmers market tour along the river is a unique experience to plunge into the rich historical heritage of Bordeaux, city of more than 2000 years of history and the best of Aquitaine gastronomy in intimate groups – the maximum number of guests is of 10.
Twenty years ago the mayor of Bordeaux, Mr Alain Juppé who used to be the prime minister of Jacques Chirac, decided to transform Bordeaux and to open the city to the quays and the river. The quays used to be very busy with numerous docks buildings. In the Chartrons area we used to have the wine traders stocks. Even the traders left the district, it is still very famous and fashionable. The Sunday morning famers’ market was created some years ago. It is very appreciated by the bordelais and tourists who enjoy shopping and sharing on the quays with friends fresh products like oysters with a glass of wine!
Let’s share this way of living with us! You will spend 3 hours tasting the nicest farmers products and walking along the river discovering one of the nicest view of Bordeaux.
