Tours in Bordeaux with My Gourmet Tours 

Created as an introduction to the history, culture and Bordeaux food and wine you will spend 3 hours exploring the heart of the city, visiting the nicest artisans and tasting the nicest local products.

This Bordeaux Gourmet tour is a unique experience to discover the best of Bordeaux culture, history and gastronomy in intimate groups – the maximum number of guests is of 10.

• Discovering Bordeaux with a 3-hour Walking Guided Tour

Practical Matters

WHEN: English Tours are given on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

TIME:  Group Tours start at 11am from 2 guests and last approximately 3 hours

             Private tours start at 4pm from 2 guests

MEETING POINT: Place de la Comédie, in front of the Opera of Bordeaux 

CAPACITY: up to 8 people for an intimate experience

DRESS: prefer comfortable clothes and shoes

FEE:  from 120€ per guest including all tastings (food & wine)

Food Tasting Included :

• You will start the gourmet tour with the unrivalled Bordeaux wine in a very bordelais site – replaced by non-alcoholic beverages if preferred.
• Then you’ll taste the best local cheeses, delicatessen and foie gras directly sourced in the nicest artisanal shops
• Before the end of the tour we won’t let you go without tasting the famous Bordeaux canelé together with a local sweety and fruity wine
• Your Bordeaux walking tour also includes chocolate, the French baguette and local condiments…
• And depending on the season when you tour you will have the chance to taste the local seasonal products

All products are tasted directly on site with the best artisans of Bordeaux

Please note: the itinerary is subject to change, based on the artisans’ availability and weather. This tour doesn’t run on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and some banks holidays. My goal is to make your experience as friendly and authentic as possible. We go from place to place to shop samples of the food along the way as I’m used to do for my own or with my friends. Your guide will buy the food & wine at each stop and give you more details, telling you about the history or the legends of the product and the city. We will be able to eat and share recipes just as a local would do!

Our tours are run in English!

We send you the meeting place details the day before the tour, please check your ticket for the starting time.

Few things to be perfectly prepared:

• Please be on time: our artisans are waiting for us 🙂
• We will walk through the city and it is always better to have comfortable shoes. Better to wear sneakers than high heels
• Remember not to come with your stomach full, or you will not be able to taste and enjoy all the products you will eat!
• Last but not least: please tell the guide if you have any food intolerance in the group.
